Well, the Classic’s season is over and there’s hardly time to take a breath as we head straight into stage race territory. The Tour de Romandie kicked off today with a short sharp prologue.

Geraint Thomas took the win, taking full advantage of a dry course.

A good day for team Sky, with 2008 prologue winner Mark Cavendish and Michael Rogers inside the top five. I’ll give Geraint a few years, but I think he has the potential to be a true, man for the Classics! I definitely reckon he’s got a Roubaix and/or Flanders win in his future.
